Job Description

Beacon Hill is seeking an experienced and strategic Controller for a contract to hire basis. This role will lead all accounting operations and financial reporting functions. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, strengthening internal controls, and delivering accurate and timely financial information to support executive decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical accounting expertise and experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
  • Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP
  • Manage multi-entity consolidations and intercompany transactions
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory requirements
  • Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls
  • Partner with executive leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
  • Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance metrics (KPIs)
  • Coordinate and manage external audits and tax filings
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering professional development

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with month-end close, consolidations, and intercompany accounting
  • Advanced Excel skills
