Develops and prepares company budgeting, financial planning, controls, accounting and reporting policies and practices. Analyzes financial results and provides management with an understanding of the company’s financial performance and the financial effect of business plans and strategies
Job Responsibility:
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Inventory/Cost Accounting and Revenue Recognition
Day to day management of the accounting team with strong leadership qualities and providing development opportunities
Oversee month-end closing and preparation of monthly financial statements
Ensure proper accounting in accordance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Coordinate and manage year end financial audit and federal and state tax return prep
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and support all functions of the annual budgeting process covering all accounts within the income statement and balance sheet
Prepare monthly and annual cash flows and financial forecasts
Provide proactive and anticipated in depth financial analysis as needed with explanations to management with recommended actions
Work cross functionally across all levels of the company to monitor budgets and support in meeting all departmental goals
Ensure timely and accurate reporting and payments to all tax authorities
Manage compliance and monitoring of economic nexus in all states for sales and use tax collection, remittance, and filing. Register with new states as needed
Prepare board and corporate level KPI and financial reporting
Assist in the annual administration and structures of sales commission plans as it aligns with annual sales plan. Prepare mid-year commission statements and calculations for payroll processing
Manage compliance and regulatory reporting such as state annual reports & government required surveys
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
Oversees accurate payroll processing and other HR functions as needed
Support daily responsibilities of the accounting team
Requirements:
5-10 years of accounting experience within the manufacturing industry
Strong cost accounting background
Experience managing a team
Bachelors degree required
5-10 years of accounting management experience within the manufacturing industry
Strong cost accounting within a $30M+ organization
Familiar with process/continuous improvement methodology
