We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Houston, Texas. This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate closely with leadership to develop and support company objectives, enhance operational efficiencies, and drive cost management initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial expertise and leadership skills to ensure the organization’s financial health and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with the leadership team to establish company goals and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Create and manage financial metrics to monitor company performance and drive strategic decision-making
Investigate cost-saving measures and recommend actions to improve profitability
Participate in management meetings, including those focused on production, sales, and marketing
Support sales staff in understanding cost and profitability-related customer service issues
Work with sales and operations teams on warranty-related accruals and processes
Provide oversight of daily operations and act as the leader in the absence of the President
Coordinate and prepare all financial information, including monthly statements, year-end documentation, forecasts, and reports
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate financial statements and supporting schedules
Requirements:
Minimum of 7 years of experience in a financial leadership role
Proficiency in standard cost accounting methodologies
Extensive experience in a Manufacturing environment
Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements and reports
Familiarity with payroll processing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable functions
Ability to manage audits and physical inventory counts effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
