Controller

• Supervise and manage all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cost accounting
• Prepare accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in adherence to US GAAP standards
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing detailed variance analysis to support decision-making
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and compliance efforts with external auditors and tax professionals
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls, policies, and financial systems to safeguard the organization's assets
• Collaborate with department leaders to analyze project financials, monitor job costs, and track profitability
• Oversee payroll processes and ensure compliance with regulations for both union and non-union employees
• Mentor and develop the accounting team to foster a high-performing and collaborative work environment
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements to optimize financial operations
• Partner with leadership to develop and execute financial strategies that align with organizational goals

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including managing a full accounting department
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting principles
• Proven ability to lead audits, implement financial systems, and enhance processes
• Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to present financial data effectively to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience in corporate and operational finance within a privately held organization
• Familiarity with payroll processes and HR compliance for union and non-union employees
• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
