Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Controller to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas, on a contract basis with the potential for long-term employment. This position offers the opportunity to lead financial operations within a growing manufacturing company with estimated revenues ranging from $25M to $50M. The ideal candidate will provide leadership, oversee month-end processes, and support reporting needs for both internal management and private equity stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead and manage the accounting team, ensuring efficient workflows and high-quality output
  • Oversee and execute month-end closing processes, maintaining a five-day close cycle
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reporting packages for leadership and private equity stakeholders
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide immediate guidance and support to alleviate pressure on the accounting team
  • Analyze financial statements and accounts to ensure accuracy and alignment with company goals
  • Collaborate with leadership to onboard and transition responsibilities to the incoming Vice President of Finance
  • Utilize Epicor ERP system to streamline financial operations and reporting processes
  • Support private equity-level reporting requirements and expectations
  • Partner with the Accounting Director to distribute high-level responsibilities effectively

Requirements

  • Proven experience in financial management, including month-end close and account analysis
  • Strong expertise in preparing financial statements and reporting packages
  • Familiarity with Epicor ERP system or similar financial software
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead accounting teams
  • Experience working with private equity stakeholders and meeting their reporting expectations
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • CPA preferred
