Controller

• Lead and supervise accounting, accounts payable, financial reporting, and budgeting functions to ensure efficient operations
• Develop and monitor the organization's budget, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and financial constraints
• Oversee county-wide financial forecasting to provide accurate projections and insights for decision-making
• Administer the organization’s debt program, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and policies
• Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local financial regulations, as well as accounting standards and policies
• Analyze financial data and provide actionable recommendations to the Director and other leadership members
• Prepare and review monthly financial reports to maintain transparency and accuracy in reporting
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure financial practices align with organizational objectives
• Conduct audits and analyze revenue streams to identify opportunities for improvement
• Serve as a key member of the management team, contributing to strategic financial planning and policy development

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting management or financial operations
• Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP standards
• Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Strong understanding of governmental accounting and compliance within non-profit or county government settings
• Experience preparing and analyzing financial reports with attention to detail
• Ability to manage debt programs and oversee execution of financial strategies
• Excellent leadership and communication skills for advising and working with cross-functional teams

CPA or CMA certification is preferred
