Job Responsibility:
Lead, develop, coach, and maintain the accountability of the accounting team
Oversee the Credit and Collections team (CFS) and Accounts Receivable processes
Ensure the safe custody of assets, financial records, and corporate documents
Manage and improve accounting policies, procedures, and controls
Handle treasury management and oversee cash flow
Supervise payroll operations and ensure accuracy and compliance
Administer the employee 401(k) benefit plan and exercise full ownership
Oversee and maximize the utilization of the Sage Intacct G/L System, ensuring it provides critical insights for the business
Manage business insurance policies and maintain compliance
Take full responsibility for the monthly close process, providing accurate and timely financial reporting
Act as a point of contact for the annual audit, working with external auditors to ensure successful completion
Oversee income tax functions and coordinate with external accounting firms for tax preparation and filing
Collaborate with the Director of FP& A on monthly forecasting, annual financial planning, and financial reporting
Work with functional department heads to monitor and manage monthly expenditures and budgets
Provide leadership with key financial insights to support informed, strategic business decisions
Drive process improvements and kaizen initiatives in the accounting team
Perform other ad hoc duties as needed
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 4+ years in a leadership role
Exceptional organizational, time management, and communication skills
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership skills to mentor, coach, and hold a team accountable while fostering a collaborative work environment
A customer service mindset with a drive for engaging and working with colleagues across departments
Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling skills
Advanced proficiency in Sage Intacct
Nice to have:
Expertise in Sage Intacct for general ledger management and financial reporting
Familiarity with Paylocity for HR and payroll processes
