Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to lead core accounting operations and provide reliable financial insight for a growing manufacturing organization. This position will oversee day-to-day financial activities, strengthen internal processes, and support executive leadership with clear reporting, forecasting, and business recommendations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting expertise, leadership capability, and a background managing financial performance in a construction or project-based environment.

Job Responsibility

  • Direct all core accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll, and cash management
  • Produce accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Enhance KPIs, operational reporting, job costing, and margin analysis across manufacturing operations
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy
  • Lead inventory accounting, standard costing, and manufacturing variance analysis
  • Strengthen internal controls and refine accounting processes to support scalable growth
  • Manage annual audits and maintain strong relationships with auditors, banks, and tax advisors
  • Oversee cash flow, working capital, and capital expenditure planning
  • Support pricing strategy, contract profitability, and key operational decisions
  • Drive ERP optimization, reporting improvements, and process efficiencies
  • Ensure GAAP compliance and meet all applicable government or aerospace reporting requirements
  • Mentor and develop staff while building a high-performing, scalable finance team

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Prior experience within manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing operations
  • ERP system experience required
  • Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
