Controller

• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
• Supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, ensuring the preparation of accurate and compliant financial statements
• Develop and maintain cost accounting systems aligned with farming, harvesting, and processing activities
• Collaborate with operational teams to analyze production costs, yield performance, labor utilization, and other key financial metrics
• Oversee the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing forecasting to support financial planning
• Implement and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial systems to ensure efficiency and compliance
• Coordinate and support audits, manage banking relationships, and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements
• Mentor and lead the accounting team, fostering attention to detail and ensuring alignment with organizational goals

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with preference for backgrounds in agriculture, food production, or manufacturing
• Strong expertise in cost accounting and multi-entity financial management
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial systems
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both operational and executive teams
• Proven leadership abilities, with experience in team development and mentorship
• Solid understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements

Familiarity with agricultural cost structures, crop costing, or seasonal labor models is highly desirable
