Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Controller to support one of our clients on an interim basis. Job Responsibility:
Oversee the preparation and accuracy of financial statements in alignment with nonprofit and healthcare industry standards
Review and approve journal entries to maintain the completeness and precision of financial data
Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger oversight and month-end closing processes
Conduct in-depth financial analyses to support organizational decision-making and strategic planning
Ensure compliance with regulatory, grant, and healthcare reporting requirements
Collaborate with leadership to streamline financial processes and enhance reporting capabilities
Lead or support system transition projects, including data migration, validation, and testing
Mentor and guide team members, fostering their detail-oriented development and performance
Maintain high standards of data integrity and accuracy across all financial activities
Utilize advanced tools like Sage Intacct, Microsoft Great Plains, and Microsoft Excel to optimize financial operations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Extensive experience in accounting or finance, with progressively increasing responsibilities
Expertise in nonprofit and/or healthcare financial practices is highly preferred
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring small teams
Advanced proficiency in financial systems, including Sage Intacct and Microsoft Great Plains
Exceptional analytical skills and a meticulous approach to financial data validation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams
Ability to ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations and reporting standards
