Job Responsibility
Direct day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial records across the organization
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including detailed balance sheet analysis and reconciliation
Oversee job cost tracking and project-level financial reporting to support margin visibility and informed decision-making
Manage cash flow planning, monitor liquidity needs, and develop reliable short- and long-range forecasts
Administer payroll-related financial oversight in a union labor environment, with attention to compliance and reporting accuracy
Collaborate with operations leaders to evaluate project performance, identify financial risks, and improve profitability
Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure supporting documentation is organized, complete, and audit-ready
Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights that help guide strategic and operational planning
Requirements
7+ years of experience in accounting or finance, including leadership responsibility in a controller or similar role
Strong knowledge of financial statement preparation, general ledger management, and balance sheet reconciliation
Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cash management in a project-driven business environment
Understanding of job costing principles and the ability to analyze financial performance at the project level
Familiarity with payroll and compliance considerations in a union labor setting
High attention to detail with strong document management and financial record organization skills
Proficiency in reviewing financial data, identifying discrepancies, and delivering clear recommendations to leadership
