The Controller will be responsible for the oversight and coordination of accounting and finance activities, ensuring rigorous financial controls and accuracy across all operations. This role supervises the finance team to maintain accounting and statistical records that support decision-making and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and coordinate a team responsible for calculating, posting, obtaining, and verifying financial data
Compile composite reports from subordinate and departmental sources for management or government agency use
Manage accounting functions including inventory control, cash management, accounts receivable, and foreign currency transactions
Close the books monthly and annually and lead the financial statement audit process
Facilitate the annual budgeting process and prepare reports for the parent company as required
Prepare property tax filings and NAFTA documentation
Analyze financial and operational data as requested
Issue written and oral instructions, assign duties, and examine work for accuracy and adherence to policies
Study and standardize procedures, supporting continuous improvement and efficiency
Assist with the development and updating of organizational KPIs and costing as needed
Carry out other duties as assigned to support finance and business objectives
Requirements:
Outstanding written, verbal and presentation-based communication
2 to 3 years Cost Accounting Experience
4 years plus Controller experience handling accounting records
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
3 to 5 years Previous Experience in Manufacturing environment
Previously held role of Controller for a 40-50 million dollar company
Must be a functional leader who has held previous roles such Staff Accountant, Financial Analyst, and Cost Accounting
