We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to lead the financial operations of our organization in Irvine, California. This role will oversee accounting functions, ensure compliance with regulations, and provide strategic insights to support the company’s growth objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, and the ability to drive operational efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and review accurate financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to meet local and international reporting standards
Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes, providing financial models and analyses to guide decision-making
Establish and maintain effective internal controls to protect company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Manage cash flow operations, including optimizing working capital and maintaining strong banking relationships
Oversee the consolidation of accounts across subsidiaries and ensure accuracy in financial data
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth audits and compliance with tax laws
Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Monitor financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to executive leadership
Develop and implement updated accounting policies and procedures to align with best practices
Approve payments and oversee liquidity management to ensure the organization meets its financial obligations
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
a Master’s degree is preferred
Accounting certification such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent is required
At least 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with 3+ years in a leadership role
Proficiency in Sage software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Excellent leadership and communication abilities to manage and motivate teams
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines with attention to detail
