We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing manufacturing company located in the Horsham area in Pennsylvania. This role is crucial in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements to support the organization's strategic goals. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in accounting and finance, particularly within the manufacturing or aerospace sectors.
Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering growth and aligning efforts with business objectives
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including month-end close activities and financial results analysis
Develop and maintain effective financial reporting systems and internal controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
Lead the creation of forecasts, annual budgets, strategic plans, and detailed financial analytics
Act as the finance representative for cross-functional teams, contributing to quarterly business reviews and presentations
Offer expertise in pricing strategies, proposal development, and adherence to government contracting regulations
Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements by working closely with other departments
Partner with IT to enhance automation processes and implement new financial technologies
Manage special projects and support additional departmental functions as required
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required
advanced certifications are a plus
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, preferably within manufacturing or aerospace industries
Strong understanding of technical accounting principles, with the ability to analyze and explain budget, prior year, and variance results
Experience with manufacturing cost accounting and government contracts, including DFARS compliance
Proficiency in financial statement preparation and reporting processes
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on process improvement and value creation
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Familiarity with data warehousing and Power BI projects is preferred
