Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team (Senior Staff Accountant, Accounting Specialist, AP Clerk), fostering an environment of emotional safety, professional growth, and collaboration
Oversee all accounting operations, including process improvement and modernization as the organization transitions from cash-based to accrual-based accounting
Deliver clear, concise financial analysis and insights to support C-Suite decision-making
Take an active role in ERP system selection and future implementation (currently using QuickBooks)
Ensure compliance and oversight of the healthcare revenue cycle
Requirements:
4-year degree in accounting required
CPA strongly preferred
At least 5 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in a leadership capacity
Direct healthcare industry experience and familiarity with revenue cycle and compliance components are required
Data-driven and comfortable supporting executive strategy and decision-making
Early- to mid-career professional, eager to learn and grow
Outstanding communication skills
able to provide concise answers and guidance with zero ambiguity
Extensive experience in financial operations, including budgeting, cash management, and forecasting
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of financial reporting, internal controls, and compliance standards
Proven ability to manage month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and reconciliations
Expertise in preparing and analyzing financial statements with attention to detail
Solid knowledge of general ledger and balance sheet account reconciliation
Experience handling bank reconciliations and capital asset management
Excellent communication and leadership skills to collaborate effectively with executive teams
