Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in accounting systems and financial management.

Job Responsibility:

Manage month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Oversee the preparation of monthly financial statements and reports
Utilize QuickBooks Enterprise and other accounting software to maintain precise financial records
Analyze business processes and implement improvements to optimize efficiency and accuracy
Coordinate annual inventory activities and ensure proper documentation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial and operational challenges
Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and internal policies
Monitor and reconcile accounts to maintain accuracy across all financial records
Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering growth and development

Requirements:

Proven experience with month-end close activities and financial reporting
Proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise and Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Demonstrated ability to analyze and improve business processes
Experience with annual inventory procedures and documentation
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
