Controller

• Lead and oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, and job cost accounting
• Consolidate financial data across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Prepare comprehensive monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to support business decision-making
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cash flow strategies to optimize financial performance
• Ensure timely reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and oversee month-end closing processes
• Supervise, mentor, and provide opportunities for skill development for a team of four accounting staff
• Implement and maintain effective internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures
• Coordinate with external firms for audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance
• Utilize QuickBooks Online to manage accounting functions and ensure efficient financial reporting
• Analyze financial data and provide insights to enhance profitability and operational efficiency

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3 years in a Controller or similar leadership role
• In-depth knowledge of general ledger management, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and manage a team effectively
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent communication abilities
• Experience working with external auditors and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements

Familiarity with multi-entity accounting and experience in the manufacturing or construction industries is preferred
