Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in McKinney, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and provide strategic financial guidance. This position is ideal for a tech-savvy individual with a strong background in accounting and financial management.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and accuracy
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, preparing detailed reports and recommendations for leadership
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors as needed
  • Utilize and maintain accounting software systems, with a preference for experience in NetSuite
  • Take a hands-on approach to daily financial tasks in a stand-alone role
  • Provide financial insights and strategies to support business goals and growth
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of financial objectives
  • Work effectively within a distribution industry environment, if applicable

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role
  • Proficiency in financial software systems
  • experience with NetSuite is a strong advantage
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of financial regulations and tax compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities
  • Experience in the distribution industry is a plus
