Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Brea, California. In this role, you will play a critical part in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving efficiency in month-end close processes. This position is ideal for an individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibility:

Perform comprehensive financial analysis and prepare mid-month and flash reports
Manage the month-end close process, including account reconciliations and the preparation of financial statements
Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts to support organizational planning
Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results against budgets and identify key insights
Support daily, monthly, and ad-hoc cash management and treasury functions
Develop and maintain audit schedules to ensure compliance and accuracy
Collaborate with various departments to communicate financial results and provide actionable recommendations
Utilize intermediate Excel skills to analyze data and create detailed financial reports
Ensure attention to detail and accuracy in all financial documentation and reporting
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization to foster collaboration and clarity

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, accounting, or related fields
Prior experience working in large organizations is required
Familiarity with large ERP system implementations is preferred
Proficiency in month-end close processes and preparing audit schedules
Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with stakeholders
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
Keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
