Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a contract basis in Rutland, Vermont. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting and document management, along with a keen eye for detail. This role requires expertise in financial reporting, payroll, and reconciliation tasks.

Job Responsibility:

Oversee and manage document control processes, ensuring all records are accurately maintained and accessible
Perform document scanning and organization to efficiently compile necessary files
Handle payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing
Reconcile accounts and prepare financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards
Conduct detailed bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records
Prepare and compile essential documents for audits and reporting purposes
Monitor financial transactions to maintain compliance with company policies
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of accounting processes
Identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures to maintain financial integrity

Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or financial management
Proficiency in document control and scanning processes
Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles
Experience with payroll management and account reconciliation
Ability to perform bank reconciliations with high accuracy
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication skills to work collaboratively across teams
