We are looking for a skilled Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Cresco, Pennsylvania. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership who is eager to contribute to strategic decision-making. The Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and efficiency throughout all processes.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily accounting operations such as general ledger management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
Prepare and review comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Manage month-end and year-end closing processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
Lead the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts while conducting variance analysis to identify trends and address discrepancies
Establish and maintain internal control systems to protect assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and tax filings at the local, state, and federal levels
Serve as the primary contact for both internal and external audits, handling documentation requests and coordinating schedules
Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to senior leadership to support strategic planning and decision-making
Mentor and guide the accounting and finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance
Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within financial operations
Requirements:
Proven expertise in financial reporting and analysis
Experience managing month-end and year-end closing processes
Skill in developing and overseeing budgets and financial forecasts
Knowledge of internal control systems and compliance standards
Familiarity with audit management and regulatory requirements
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools
