This position is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, and supporting strategic financial planning. This role manages the accounting team, maintains internal controls, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. The Controller partners closely with leadership to provide financial insights that drive business decisions.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee daily accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP or applicable standards
Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
Analyze financial data and provide insights to support business strategy
Coordinate audits and work with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
Monitor cash flow and financial performance metrics
Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
CPA or equivalent certification preferred
5 to 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
Experience with financial systems and ERP platforms
Advanced Excel and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and leadership abilities
