Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations for a multi-site healthcare organization based in Oregon. This long-term contract position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage consolidated financial reporting, and ensure accurate month-end closings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare financial management and a proven ability to handle complex, multi-location accounting processes.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee consolidated financial statements for multiple sites, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Supervise month-end close processes, including reconciling accounts and reviewing financial data
Coordinate and streamline manual consolidations from multiple QuickBooks instances into Excel
Provide financial guidance related to an upcoming asset sale, including record reviews and due diligence support
Ensure timely and accurate distribution of payments to independent contractor physicians
Oversee the allocation of expenses and calculation of net profit reserves for distribution
Collaborate with external accounting firms to assist with financial reviews and tax preparation
Monitor and improve existing accounting processes to support organizational growth
Utilize tools like Power BI to enhance financial reporting and data analysis

Requirements:

Proven experience in managing multi-site financial operations and consolidations
Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial statement preparation
Familiarity with QuickBooks and Excel for manual consolidations and reporting
Background in healthcare financial management, including payment processes for physicians
Proficiency in using financial analysis tools such as Power BI
Excellent organizational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities
Understanding of cash-basis accounting practices and related accruals
