Job Responsibility:
Oversee all accounting operations including GL maintenance, accounts receivable/payable, and month/quarter/year-end reporting
Manage and mentor a professional accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all deliverables
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and corporate policies to ensure financial integrity and prevent malpractice ...
Direct the treasury functions, including cash and asset management and currency exchange hedging
Coordinate the annual budget and periodic forecasting activities to support strategic business decisions
Lead the preparation for internal and external audits and ensure compliance with all tax and regulatory requirements
Drive continuous improvement by mapping processes and implementing automated templates within the ERP environment
Requirements:
Must hold one of the following designations in good standing: CPA or CPA (CA, CGA or CMA legacy designations)
7 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience at a managerial level
Proficiency with ERP systems
Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and Canadian/U.S. tax compliance
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and the ability to interpret complex data to drive business insights
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority across various departments
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Nice to have:
Knowledge of Sage X3 or system implementations is a strong asset
