Job Description:

As a Controller, you will be expected to work closely with operations and perform all monthly, quarterly and annual financial duties. This role is for someone that has ideally worked for a company that has managed an inventory and can assist with keeping the company financially strong and growing.

Job Responsibility:

Seamlessly manage all aspects of finance and accounting functions
Maintain the general ledger and handle the daily posting of accounting entries
Monitor financial performance across all functions, alerting management of any potential issues
Implement improvements in accounting/ERP systems and general operating procedures, potentially including the implementation of a new ERP system
Generate monthly reporting in accordance with GAAP, including income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, etc.
Prepare financial projections, including budgets and cash flow
Evaluate options for commercial insurance, 401(K), and benefits package
Identify areas to improve margins and achieve other cost savings by monitoring SG& A line items
Assist with the evaluation and integration of add-on acquisitions
Oversee payroll service, insurance, and other third-party providers
Assist with administrative functions, including IT improvements and administration of the HR function
Manage treasury functions, account reconciliations, supplier negotiations, contract negotiations, OSHA audits, fixed asset schedules, etc.
Keep management informed on all aspects of position responsibilities
Continually refine processes and structure to align with changing business needs

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred
Experience in conducting comprehensive auditing
Strong knowledge of budget processes and fiscal planning
In-depth understanding of annual inventory and asset management
