Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in North Topeka, Kansas. This role requires a strong background in accounting and finance, coupled with proven leadership skills. The ideal candidate will manage financial operations effectively, ensuring compliance and driving strategic organizational goals.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and oversee month-end close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness
Prepare and analyze detailed financial reports to support informed decision-making
Manage the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Develop and implement financial strategies that align with organizational objectives
Supervise and mentor the finance team, fostering growth and collaboration
Ensure internal controls are maintained and improved to safeguard company assets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial challenges and opportunities
Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on financial insights
Stay updated on changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
Proven leadership experience, with at least 3 years managing teams
Strong proficiency in month-end close processes and financial reporting
Expertise in preparing and analyzing consolidated financial statements
Ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational goals
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification is preferred.
