Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Controller to join our rural healthcare organization, with a preference for candidates willing to relocate to Grants, New Mexico, though a hybrid arrangement may be considered. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting support, compliance, and internal controls while serving as the primary financial lead for MultiView and Paylocity. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least three years in healthcare, and strong financial reporting and analytical skills. Experience in a hospital, Critical Access Hospital, rural healthcare environment, or public accounting with hospital audit and cost report exposure is highly preferred. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 3 years in healthcare finance or accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to produce financial reports, interpret data, and communicate findings effectively
  • Practical knowledge of accounting operations such as payroll, accounts payable, budgeting, and internal controls
  • Experience working in a hospital, Critical Access Hospital, rural healthcare setting, or public accounting environment supporting healthcare clients is strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as MultiView and payroll platforms such as Paylocity is highly desirable
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage documentation, maintain accuracy, and handle multiple priorities
  • Effective collaboration skills and a willingness to take on a broad, hands-on role in a team-oriented environment
