Oversee financial processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and grant requirements. Contribute to the success of programs and projects by maintaining accurate financial data and providing valuable insights to leadership.
Job Responsibility:
Record and review daily financial transactions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank transactions, using Sage 300
Generate monthly reconciliations, financial statements, and management reports to support leadership and board decision-making
Monitor and maintain accurate tracking of grants and restricted funds, ensuring expenditures comply with donor and grantor specifications
Collaborate on budgeting and forecasting efforts, performing variance analysis for various programs and projects
Provide detailed schedules, documentation, and system-generated reports to support annual audits and compliance requirements
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with proficiency in using Sage 300 or comparable mid-market accounting systems
Knowledge of fund accounting principles, including handling grants and donor-restricted funds
Strong attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with US GAAP standards and financial statement preparation
Excellent organizational skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Nice to have:
experience in a nonprofit environment is preferred
