We are partnering with a growing organization in Temple, Texas to hire an experienced and forward-thinking Controller. This individual will serve as a key leader within the finance organization and will oversee all aspects of accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The ideal candidate is hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with evolving priorities.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee core accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
Lead monthly and year-end close processes, ensuring timely journal entries, reconciliations, and accurate financial statements compliant with U.S. accounting standards
Direct the budgeting and forecasting process while preparing comprehensive management reporting packages
Manage daily cash activity, treasury operations, and banking relationships
Prepare bank reporting, compliance documentation, and cash visibility tools
Research, interpret, and resolve complex accounting matters to maintain accuracy and compliance
Oversee fixed asset accounting, including capitalization policies and asset tracking
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
Develop and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and a formal approval hierarchy
Enhance accounting processes, workflows, and system efficiencies in collaboration with leadership
Manage credit card programs, commission processing, credit reviews, and new customer onboarding procedures
Work directly with senior leadership to support strategic financial initiatives
Maintain high-quality standards for all financial reporting and transactional oversight
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
9+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with strong understanding of U.S. accounting standards
Experience with fully integrated ERP/accounting systems
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly detail‑oriented and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
