Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Oak Brook, Illinois. This role is ideal for a financial expert with over 10 years of experience who thrives in the manufacturing industry and has a strong background in managing complex financial operations. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial close process for non-U.S. affiliates and ensuring accurate and timely reporting across multiple business units.

Job Responsibility:

Lead and streamline the monthly financial close process for international affiliates
review and ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting activities across various business units
identify and document primary cost drivers to improve financial analysis
develop and establish organizational structures for enhanced financial tracking and reporting
consolidate financial statements to provide a comprehensive overview of company performance
enhance documentation processes to maintain compliance and improve efficiency
collaborate with teams to implement best practices in costing and financial policies
utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze and interpret financial data
work with accounting software systems, including Adaptive Insights or HFM, to support reporting needs.

Requirements:

Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the manufacturing industry
proven expertise in managing monthly close processes and consolidating financial statements
advanced proficiency in Excel, including complex formulas and data analysis
experience working with multiple organizational structures and financial systems
familiarity with accounting tools such as Adaptive Insights or Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
international financial experience preferred
bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a plus
strong knowledge of accounting functions, including AP, AR, costing, and auditing.
