Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of financial statements, ensuring reports are accurate, complete, and submitted within established deadlines
  • Lead month-end close activities and maintain reliable accounting practices that support strong financial controls
  • Provide direction, coaching, and career development for accounting and administrative team members across the district
  • Partner with operational leadership to offer financial guidance, interpret results, and support informed decision-making
  • Contribute to new business evaluations by developing return on investment models, reviewing assumptions, and assessing financial risk
  • Work closely with finance partners to improve working capital performance and support cash flow optimization efforts
  • Prepare and review budgets, forecasts, key performance reports, and cash flow analyses to monitor financial health
  • Handle additional finance and controllership responsibilities as needed to support departmental and business objectives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with exposure to financial reporting, revenue oversight, and cash management
  • Strong background in month-end close, financial reporting, and controllership responsibilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for analysis, reporting, and modeling
  • Demonstrated ability to produce monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities, build productive relationships, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and sound financial judgment
