Our client is a rapidly scaling organization that is intentionally investing in its accounting and finance infrastructure to support continued growth. We have partnered with this leadership team for years and have a strong track record of successful, long-term placements across the finance organization. This newly created Controller role is a key hire and will play a central role in shaping the next phase of the company’s evolution. The Controller will serve as the day-to-day leader of accounting operations while helping modernize processes, strengthen controls, and build scalable systems. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves while also thinking strategically about how a finance function should operate in a high-growth environment.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and develop the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Strengthen internal controls and accounting policies in accordance with GAAP
Partner closely with executive leadership on financial insights, process improvements, and growth initiatives
Support system enhancements, automation, and continuous improvement of accounting workflows
Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party partners
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA/CMA/Masters preferred
Progressive accounting leadership experience in a growing or complex environment
Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience building or improving processes
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and scale teams
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, change-oriented organization
