A growing, well‑established manufacturing facility in Lebanon, KY is seeking an experienced Controller to lead the plant’s accounting operations and serve as a key business partner to leadership. This is a hands‑on, strategic role responsible for overseeing the full financial function, driving process improvements, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Job Responsibility:
Lead all plant accounting functions, including general ledger, month‑end close, and year‑end close
Manage cost accounting activities: standard cost development, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and work‑in‑process tracking
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support operational and financial decision‑making
Monitor internal controls, ensure compliance with corporate policies, and maintain audit readiness
Collaborate closely with operations, supply chain, and leadership to provide financial insights and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost savings
Oversee AP/AR processes and support payroll coordination as needed
Manage and mentor accounting team member
drive a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement
Support capital expenditure planning, fixed asset management, and plant financial modeling
Serve as the primary finance point‑of‑contact for plant leadership and corporate finance teams
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)
5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with strong background in manufacturing accounting and cost accounting
Proven experience leading month‑end and year‑end close processes
Strong understanding of inventory accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis
Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar)
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, fully onsite manufacturing environment
