Controller

• Manage all accounts payable processes, including invoice coding, processing, and payment issuance
• Oversee accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate billing on a monthly basis
• Administer weekly payroll, ensuring compliance with tax regulations
• Prepare monthly financial statements and collaborate with external auditors for biannual reviews
• Conduct bank and account reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy
• Handle quarterly tax returns and payroll tax filings
• Coordinate insurance audits and maintain compliance with insurance requirements
• Support HR functions such as onboarding, benefits administration, and employee record management
• Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost coding and documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve budgeting and forecasting processes within the organization

• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry
• Proven ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
• Familiarity with construction accounting practices and cost coding
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered
• Proficiency in accounting software, with experience in Job Power being a plus
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Adaptability to contribute in a small office setting and wear multiple hats as needed
