Direct daily accounting activities across the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
Oversee project-based financial tracking, including job cost monitoring and analysis of construction-related expenses
Prepare and review monthly financial close activities, ensuring journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules are completed accurately and on time
Manage inventory accounting processes and help maintain reliable valuation and reporting controls
Develop budgets, compare results against forecasts, and provide financial insights to support operational planning
Produce regular financial statements and management reports that clearly communicate business performance
Administer AIA billing processes and help ensure invoicing aligns with contract requirements and project progress
Strengthen accounting procedures and internal controls to improve accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across the finance function
Requirements:
At least 5 years of accounting or controllership experience, preferably within the construction industry
Demonstrated expertise in construction accounting, including job costing and project-based financial analysis
Hands-on experience with AIA billing and construction invoicing practices
Strong background in month-end close, journal entry preparation, and general ledger management
Experience creating budgets, reviewing variances, and supporting financial reporting needs
Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and inventory accounting
Ability to interpret financial data accurately and communicate findings to leadership in a clear, practical manner
