Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Controller to oversee comprehensive financial operations within a dynamic organization based in Salt Lake City, Utah. This role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual with extensive knowledge in accounting practices, regulatory compliance, and team leadership. The Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring financial integrity, driving operational efficiency, and supporting strategic decision-making.

Job Responsibility:

Manage and oversee all financial operations across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards
Supervise key accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and tax planning and preparation
Prepare and present timely financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to support organizational goals
Ensure full compliance with regulatory standards and internal controls, including coordination with auditors and tax authorities
Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering growth and a culture of accountability
Collaborate with external auditors and stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and compliance
Implement and refine financial systems, policies, and procedures to enhance reporting accuracy and operational performance
Analyze complex financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, including roles with leadership and management responsibilities
Strong background in public auditing and financial operations across multiple entities
Advanced knowledge of accounting software systems and tools
Expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
Proven experience in preparing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
Familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements
Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams while fostering a culture of growth and accountability
