We are looking for a Controller to lead accounting operations for a growing manufacturing organization in the Horsham, Pennsylvania area. This role will oversee financial reporting, planning, and internal controls while serving as a trusted partner to operational and executive teams. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a background in manufacturing finance, and the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable business insight.
Job Responsibility
Direct daily accounting activities and provide coaching and development support to team members to strengthen performance and accountability
Oversee the monthly close cycle and deliver accurate financial statements, management reports, and performance summaries on schedule
Establish and maintain effective reporting processes and internal control practices that support accuracy, compliance, and sound decision-making
Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and financial analysis efforts to help leadership evaluate performance and business priorities
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support business reviews, presentations, and operational decisions with clear financial guidance
Advise on pricing strategies, proposal support, and compliance matters related to government contracts and applicable regulations
Work with company leadership to promote compliance with federal, state, and local financial and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with operational and technical teams to identify cost reduction opportunities, improve processes, and expand the use of automation and financial technology
Contribute to special initiatives and provide broader finance support as business needs evolve
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related discipline required
At least 10 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, with preference for experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments
Demonstrated ability to manage financial statement preparation, reporting, and month-end close activities
Strong knowledge of cost accounting and manufacturing finance principles
Experience supporting government contracting environments, including familiarity with DFARS and related compliance considerations, is highly valued
Ability to prepare clear monthly analyses comparing budget, prior-year performance, and key variances
Proficiency with data tools, reporting platforms, or business intelligence solutions such as Power BI is preferred
Certification such as CPA or a similar credential is a plus
