We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Beaufort, North Carolina. This role is essential for managing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting, payroll, and document management, contributing to the efficiency and success of our organization.
Job Responsibility:
Prepare and analyze accounts payable and receivable reports, including collections and invoice tracking
Process weekly certified payroll, union reports, and other required financial documentation
Manage employee benefits, including payroll data and weekly job cost reporting
Maintain records related to employee certifications, qualifications, and status changes such as new hires and separations
Ensure compliance with company policies for project start-up requirements, billing processes, and labor and material cost analysis
Oversee document control and scanning to ensure accurate and organized record-keeping
Utilize QuickBooks Online for financial management and reconciliation tasks
Review and compile reports related to construction projects, including work-in-progress and union contract requirements
Coordinate insurance documents and reports to meet regulatory and organizational standards
Requirements:
Proven experience in financial management and accounting roles
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and other accounting software
Solid understanding of document control and scanning processes
Knowledge of union contracts and certified payroll reporting
Familiarity with construction-related financial practices, including work-in-progress tracking
Strong organizational skills for managing employee records and certifications
Ability to analyze job cost data and prepare accurate reports
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
