Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee and manage the financial operations of our organization in Cleveland, Ohio. This role requires a meticulous individual with a solid background in accounting, strong leadership skills, and the ability to thrive in a manufacturing environment.

Job Responsibility:

Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes
Oversee the preparation and completion of month-end close procedures
Maintain and reconcile the general ledger
Apply cost accounting principles to analyze, track, and report manufacturing expenses
Supervise and mentor the accounting assistant
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights
Monitor financial operations to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to company policies
Prepare detailed financial reports and analyses for management review
Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management roles
Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and general ledger maintenance
Familiarity with cost accounting principles, particularly in manufacturing settings
Proven ability to supervise and mentor team members effectively
Proficiency in financial reporting and analysis
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
Strong communication abilities for collaboration across departments
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
