Job Description

A Beacon Hill client in NJ is looking for a Controller to oversee all accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and manages a team of accounting professionals.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
  • Develop and maintain internal accounting controls and policies
  • Coordinate annual audits and work with external auditors
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning efforts
  • Monitor company financial performance and provide strategic recommendations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements
  • Supervise and mentor accounting staff
  • Support ERP system improvements and process automation initiatives
