Controller

• Lead monthly and annual financial close processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
• Maintain the integrity of the general ledger across diverse business units and programs
• Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and cash management functions
• Manage daily cash positions, banking operations, and disbursement schedules while upholding robust internal controls
• Prepare comprehensive financial reports, including dashboards, variance analyses, and board-level statements
• Collaborate on forecasting, budgeting, and multi-year financial modeling to inform strategic decisions

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
• advanced degrees or certifications are preferred
• At least five years of progressive accounting leadership experience, with a minimum of three years in supervisory roles
• Strong knowledge of nonprofit and fund accounting, including GAAP and FASB standards
• Prior experience in a nonprofit environment is highly desirable
• Proficiency in banking systems, cash management, and financial operations
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to foster positive communication within teams
• Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
• Expertise in accounting processes such as month-end close, grant accounting, and financial statement preparation
