Job Description:

This is a long-term contract position where you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting month-end processes. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accrual accounting and familiarity with Sage software.

Job Responsibility:

Prepare and review balance sheets to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards
Manage month-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial reporting
Conduct detailed assessments of acquired companies’ financial records to validate accrual accounting procedures
Perform account reconciliations and ensure proper documentation
Review accrual accounting processes for compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Utilize Sage accounting software to manage financial tasks and maintain accurate records
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address discrepancies and improve financial processes
Ensure proper handling and reconciliation of bank accounts
Support audits by providing accurate and timely financial data
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting practices and enhance operational efficiency

Requirements:

Proven experience in accrual accounting and compliance with US GAAP
Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing balance sheets
Expertise in month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting
Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software
Advanced knowledge of account reconciliation techniques
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
Ability to assess financial records and ensure adherence to accounting standards
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
