This role focuses on overseeing financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and driving strategic financial planning within a dynamic real estate development environment.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the consolidation of financial statements across multiple entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards
Develop and oversee budgeting and forecasting processes to guide financial planning and decision-making
Review and implement internal controls to maintain the integrity of financial operations and ensure adherence to audit requirements
Monitor treasury functions, including banking activities, cash flow management, and insurance oversight
Support capital projects, acquisitions, and land development initiatives with detailed financial analysis and reporting
Collaborate with leadership to provide actionable insights and strategic recommendations for real estate investments and development projects
Supervise intercompany transactions and eliminations, ensuring streamlined processes and accurate reconciliations
Prepare and present consolidated financial statements that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements
Lead efforts to optimize property management accounting processes and ensure compliance with industry standards
Drive continuous improvement in financial systems and procedures to enhance operational efficiency
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required
advanced degrees or certifications are highly preferred
5-10 years of experience in a Controller role within real estate development or similar industries
Proven expertise in multi-entity consolidation reporting and intercompany transactions
Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
Experience in managing treasury functions, including banking and insurance activities
Familiarity with internal audits and the implementation of effective internal controls
Demonstrated ability to provide financial support for acquisitions, capital projects, and land development
Proficiency in property accounting and management practices within residential and commercial real estate sectors
