Lead and manage the accounting and financial operations of our organization in Fremont, California. This critical role requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual who can ensure the accuracy of financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and drive cash management strategies. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with executive leadership to support both operational decision-making and long-term financial planning.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the organization's accounting framework, including developing and maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls
Direct and manage monthly and annual financial close processes, ensuring timely preparation of financial statements and balance sheet reconciliations
Supervise cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support financial planning and decision-making
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management activities to ensure operational efficiency
Monitor liquidity and cash flow to meet organizational needs while optimizing banking activities
Lead and mentor the accounting team, including hiring, performance management, and skill development initiatives
Collaborate with executive leadership to provide financial insights and support strategic goals
Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax filings
Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors, ensuring compliance and smooth audit processes
Identify and implement improvements to financial processes, controls, and reporting systems
Requirements:
A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and financial management roles, preferably within the medical device industry
Expertise in cost accounting, financial planning, and month-end close processes
Proficiency in NetSuite and experience with system conversions or implementations
Strong knowledge of internal controls and compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze complex financial data
Proven leadership skills, including the ability to develop and guide accounting teams
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with executive leadership and external partners
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
