Job Description

My client, a Public Commercial Life Sciences company s, is seeking a highly strategic and hands-on Controller (Senior Director level) to join their growing leadership team. This is a 100% remote opportunity with a publicly traded pharmaceutical company that is experiencing strong commercial growth, recent successful capital raises, and continued momentum following strong earnings results. This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and wants direct exposure to executive leadership, capital markets activity, and the continued scaling of a commercial-stage life sciences organization.

Job Responsibility

  • Serve as a key leader within the finance organization
  • Oversee core accounting operations, SEC reporting, technical accounting, audit coordination, and internal controls
  • Support the company’s continued growth and public company requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA required
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including senior leadership responsibilities
  • Public company experience required
  • Experience supporting capital transactions
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, SEC Reporting, and PCAOB audit requirements
  • Technical accounting expertise
  • Experience within a commercial product environment, including Gross-to-Net accounting
  • Life Sciences experience required
  • Experience building, mentoring, and scaling accounting teams is a plus
