Job Description:

Nonprofit organization that works closely with state/local government. Excellent place to work, only 1 day per week in office and can be mostly remote. Excellent benefits, including a pension. This role reports to the CFO, manages a strong accounting team and owns the accounting function

Job Responsibility:

  • US GAAP Accounting
  • Own accounting function which includes operational accounting, financial reporting, audit, g/l, month end
  • Manage and develop accounting staff
  • Prepare financials, oversee audit
  • Comply with state and local government accounting standards and have in depth knowledge of federal funding

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with advanced degree or CPA certification desired
  • Experience with government accounting and federal funding
  • Management experience
  • Ability to oversee accounting
  • 10+ years of progressive nonprofit accounting experience
