Job Description

This permanent opportunity is ideal for a hands-on accounting leader who can oversee daily financial operations while providing strong guidance to a small team. The role will play a key part in maintaining accurate reporting, supporting close activities, and delivering financial insight that helps drive sound business decisions.

Job Responsibility

  • Direct daily accounting functions ensuring transactions are recorded accurately and financial processes run efficiently
  • Manage the monthly close cycle by reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation to deliver complete and timely financial results
  • Generate financial statements and management reports, then evaluate performance trends to help leadership understand results and key drivers
  • Lead accounting team members while reinforcing accountability and consistent execution
  • Conduct variance reviews and other financial analyses to highlight potential issues, business risks, and opportunities to improve performance
  • Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and strengthen internal controls tied to regular accounting and reporting activities
  • Use accounting software system to oversee accounting workflows, maintain data reliability, and support reporting needs
  • Collaborate with operational leaders on budgeting, forecasting, cash planning, and other finance matters that influence business performance

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including leadership responsibility in a controller or similar role
  • Strong background in financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger management, and account reconciliation
  • Experience with bank reconciliations, cash flow oversight, accounts payable, billing, and payroll administration
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare clear financial reports
  • Demonstrated ability to support budgeting and forecasting activities while partnering effectively with operational stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a hands-on approach to problem solving
