Job Description

Our trusted client is seeking an experienced Controller Consultant to oversee financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in day-to-day accounting processes. This role involves managing month-end and mid-month closings, overseeing accounts receivable and payable, and maintaining financial records using QuickBooks. This is a long-term engagement is based fully onsite Northville, Michigan and will report directly to the Corporate Controller.

Job Responsibility

  • Manage all aspects of month-end and mid-month financial closings, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to maintain smooth financial operations
  • Utilize QuickBooks to track, analyze, and report financial data effectively
  • Develop and implement workflows and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations
  • Provide training and guidance to team members, ensuring they are equipped to handle accounting tasks
  • Collaborate with leadership to review and allocate revenues and expenses appropriately
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies
  • Assist with acquisition integration, ensuring seamless financial transitions
  • Continuously analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare detailed reports and provide insights to support strategic decision-making

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Controller or in a similar financial leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of month-end and mid-month closing processes
  • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for financial management
  • Expertise in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Ability to train and mentor team members in accounting practices
  • Familiarity with acquisition integration and financial transitions
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
