Job Description

This fully onsite Consultant Position role will focus on overseeing financial operations within the real estate development and non-profit sectors, with a particular emphasis on affordable housing.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee and manage all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to evaluate portfolio performance and support strategic decision-making
  • Utilize Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, and other accounting systems to maintain accurate financial records
  • Develop and implement budgeting and forecasting processes using Solver software
  • Collaborate with teams to optimize financial reporting and improve operational efficiency
  • Ensure proper handling of HUD-related financial matters and compliance requirements
  • Prepare and present financial statements and reports to stakeholders
  • Manage cash flow, accounts payable, and receivable processes effectively
  • Lead efforts to streamline accounting systems and integrate new technologies
  • Provide guidance and support to less experienced financial staff to enhance team performance

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial controllership roles
  • Proven expertise in real estate development and non-profit financial operations
  • Strong understanding of affordable housing compliance and HUD requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for conducting complex financial analysis
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Sage 300 accounting systems
  • Knowledge of Solver software for budgeting and forecasting
  • Ability to interpret and present financial data clearly to stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
