A growing privately held manufacturing company in the northwest metro area is seeking a hands-on accounting leader to oversee day-to-day financial operations and support broader business functions across the organization. This is a highly visible role within a stable, team-oriented company environment. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with ownership and leadership while contributing across accounting, administration, HR, and operational support functions.
Job Responsibility
Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
Lead general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end close
Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management activities
Support cost accounting functions including inventory, product costing, and margin analysis
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Coordinate with external CPA firm and auditors
Maintain internal controls and support process improvements
Supervise and mentor two accounting/administrative employees
Support HR-related functions including benefits administration and employee onboarding support
Assist with various administrative and operational responsibilities as needed
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax requirements, and company policies
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required
7+ years accounting experience
Manufacturing industry experience is required
Exposure to cost accounting
Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and financial reporting
Experience working in smaller company environments preferred
Comfortable operating in a hands-on, detail-oriented role
Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities across accounting and administrative functions
